Abstract :
Edge detection is an important work for object recognition and is also an essential pre-procession step in image segmentation and visual analysis. Conventionally, the method to detect vehicle edge can not solve the problems such as noise, ghost, a novel edge detection method based on multi-structure elements is proposed. In this method the target vehicle edge can be segregated completely. The experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm was more efficient for edge detection than conventional mathematic morphological edge detection algorithms.
