Abstract :
The paper presents an approach for the automatic optimal state feedback controller design and its download on an 8-bit microcontroller. Once the system model has been defined, the proposed procedure makes it possible to find the optimal gains of a feedback state controller which are compatible with the integer representation of the microcontroller. A software tool has been developed in order to support the design, implementation and testing phases of the control system
