Abstract
The thermal deformation of the electrodes of a vacuum interrupter was investigated by both experiments and theoretical analysis during the interruption of high current. This paper analyses the thermal bending caused by the vacuum arc. The parameters affecting thermal deformation are investigated in order to select suitable electrodes
