Abstract
The concept of effective temperature and its implementation for frequency range of 20-50 GHz is investigated to assess the improvements in estimating cloud attenuation. The cloud model is verified using measurements of local and external sites. And a comparison with the latest ITU-R 840.4 is performed along with a method to convert normalized Liquid water maps of ITU-R back into regular ones.
