Abstract
Presents details of the merging of the lightwave and microwave technologies for improvements in sensitivity and resolution of aerial light detecting and ranging (LIDAR) measurements. Steps leading to experimentation of this technology in a laboratory environment are listed and results that verify theoretical analyses are presented.<>
