  • Abstract
EMD-like (exploiting modification direction, EMD) information hiding schemes have been recently drawn great interests from worldwide due to the feature of fully exploiting modification direction using some weighted sum functions or modulus operations. Schemes of this kind can usually achieve very high capacity of secret bits without causing too much distortion of the cover image, but suffer from sensitivity to noise without exception. Since practical communication channel is often noisy, the robustness against this noise should be required. In this paper, we present a robust EMD-like stegnographic scheme by finding a relatively invariant replacement for conventional gray value before building the weighted sum function. Experimental results have shown that the detector is robust under the disturbance of usual noise such as Gaussian or salt and pepper.
