Abstract :
Radio propagation has been intensively studied for recently-emerging wireless body area network (WBAN) applications. Previously, the authors had proposed a ultra wideband (UWB; 3.1 to 10.6 GHz) loss model around the human body in various environments, taking into consideration the impact of room volume. Delay profiles are also presumed to depend on the room volume, but few studies have not been considered this effect. In this present study, the delay profiles around the human body were measured within various rooms, and there from a modified model considering the impact of room volume has been derived.
