Abstract
Industrial systems´ human interfaces deal with high volumes of information on the plant, some of which have hard deadlines. The paper focuses on modelling the human interface component of industrial systems using a colored Petri net (CPN). A set of objects and functions typical to the industrial user interfaces were selected to be part of the model. The resulting CPN industrial interface model should be easily expanded and integrated into an industrial plant´s model.
