Abstract :
Desirable performance of electrical propulsion systems needs dynamic behavior analysis of their electrical motors. Whereas the switched reluctance motor (SRM) is well suited for the electric propulsion systems due to the simple and rugged construction, the SRM dynamic performance in different operation modes is extensively investigated in this paper and simulation results are presented for a 40 kW SRM
