Abstract
In this paper, it researches software and hardware of the digital intermediate frequency (IF) in the WiMAX system, which is based on the remote radio unit (RRU) in the distributed base station. The digital up conversion (DUC) is described as an example to show the proposed power detection, clipping (CFR), digital pre-distortion (DPD) and other key aspects of the design. Hardware implementation adopts Altera Stratix3 series FPGA chip, the sintered file is download to the chip by EPLD or JTAC cable, it can tests different bandwidth signals up and down conversion, clipping, power detection and pre-distortion function in real time.
