Abstract :
This paper presents spindle motor with fluid dynamic bearing (FDB) for hard disk drives. Thrust bearing of FDB requires appropriate pressure to operate in smooth rotations. In this study, the thrust force between rotor and thrust yoke is analyzed using 3D finite element method and experimental results are compared with the simulated one
