Abstract :
In This paper, a novel approach to design a parasitic Split Ring Resonator antenna for an RFID reader is proposed. This approach is based on using a parasite square patch near to the SRR element. The RFID frequency chosen is the 2.45GHz. The SRR Antenna is simulated by using HFSS and the proposed parasitic antenna is developed by using Lumped elements. This antenna is integrated in an RFID TAG by using the electrical model of both antenna and IC. The size of antenna is 12mm*12mm*27mm.
