Abstract :
A review of some unique contributions from ground-based and space-based radar data for propagation related studies and modeling have been presented. Rain cell statistical models, tuned by exploiting ground-based radar measurements, have been discussed. Using space-borne radars, both global rain mapping and high-resolution rain fields have been illustrated showing their potentials for radio propagation studies and applications.
