Abstract
A low drop-out linear regulator, designed specifically for RF Power Amplifier (PA) applications, has been integrated as part of a multi-function power management integrated circuit for CDMA cellular handsets. The regulator, which utilizes an external PMOS pass transistor, is programmable from either an internal 4 bit DAC or an external reference voltage and is stable with an output filter capacitance as low as 1 /spl mu/F.
