Abstract :
Two approaches to the design of quasi-constant-phase networks using the active non-Foster negative inductances and capacitances are considered. One approach uses a combination of the right-handed and left-handed transmission line sections consisting of positive and negative reactances. The second approach is based on using the quasi-constant reactances that are combinations of positive inductance and negative capacitance or vice versa. The quasi-constant-phase network based on the non-Foster elements can be favorably used to design the microwave devices with an extended operational bandwidth.
