Abstract :
A family of silicon single-chip television tuners has been developed. We have characterized these devices and present the data. Two applications have been developed employing the IC tuner. These are a PCI add-in card for a PC so that the PC may receive and display TV signals, and a module that provides for bi-directional communication over a cable system.
