Abstract :
This paper reviews the spectrum management issues which must be considered in commercial implementation of millimeter wave technology. While some may feel that such regulatory topics are not as "real" as traditional technical issues, in the commercial arena they are just as real as Maxwell\´s equations. Both international/ITU and national regulatory concerns are considered. The legal formality of the US spectrum regulatory system compared to many other nations raises special concerns which must be considered in the context of the US commercial market for such technology.<>
