Abstract :
The presences of frequency sensitive loads such as motors in power system have sustainable impact on system frequency response. Hence, in this paper focuses the impact of frequency sensitive loads on system frequency response (SFR) for wind farm integrated to thermal power (WFITP) system. A small signal linearized model of variable speed deloaded wind turbine generator (WTG) is derived. The typical SFR model is developed for WFITP system. For the stable case, largest frequency dip under a perturbation and the corresponding critical time can be derived from transfer functions under different load-damping coefficients (D). This can be helpful for the system operators to take appropriate decision such as load shedding, demand response, faster relay trip etc. for a secure and stable power system operation. MATLAB simulation results are presented in support of theoretical analysis.
