Abstract

The IHSNII (Integrated Home Service Network on Intelligent Intranet) is a Web-based home service system. It can provide omnibus security services including ISP (Internet service provider), household appliances control service, medical service, automatic meter reading service, home security services, etc. IHSNII is developed to integrate different HSASS (home service application supporting system) and provide a uniform GUI (graphic user interface) for the end user by using a Web browser. In addition, XML (extensible markup language) is used to describe data and specify interchange formats.
