Abstract :
This paper aims to explore the features of the traditional manufacturing´s development by using ICTs, especially the features of the spatial organization variations of the production chain, which is based on time cost. The results show that: (1) enterprises´ cycle of designing, manufacturing, and dispatching decreases fast with the help of ICTs, which proves that the time factor plays a key role in the production chain´s spatial organization variations brought about by the application of ICTs. (2) The application of ICTs to the traditional manufacturing clothing and textile enterprises chiefly boosts their management of some section of the whole production chain; while for the upgraded enterprises the application of ICTs greatly affects the spatial organization of the production chain as a whole.
