Abstract
Morphology has been widely used in the LiDAR point cloud data filtering. This paper proposes a morphological LiDAR point cloud filtering method based on fake scan lines. The original discrete point cloud data is rearranged in accordance with fake scan lines firstly, and then morphological opening operation is applied to filter the non-ground points. This method retains all the original point cloud information, and reduces the computation. Experimental results have proved the feasibility and validity of this method.
