Abstract :
For the multi-layer characteristics in power system restoration, the case based reasoning restoration decision support system encounters some problems. A hierarchical case-based reasoning (HCBR) methodology is proposed for power system restoration decision-making in the paper. The structure of hierarchical case database is defined and the practical methods of retrieval, evaluating and learning are presented. A HCBR decision-making system has been developed for a practical power system. From the practice, the system shows its decision flexibility via the original target decomposition, hierarchical case-based reasoning and learning. The multi-layer decision-making procedures are expressed explicitly by the hierarchical graphical cases. It is demonstrated that the system is fitted for both the operators training and online decision making for restoration.
