Abstract
The goal of this work is to present a first attempt of modeling eye-head-arm coordination during simultaneous step movements of the three body segments towards a visual target. The model mainly aims at reproducing the results obtained by Vercher et al. (Expt. Brain Res., vol. 99, p. 507-23, 1994) in experiments where gaze and arm shifts in the horizontal plane were produced when pointing at visual targets. The model has been developed starting from a previous model of only eye-head coordination, proposed by Galiana and Guitton (Ann. N.Y. Acad. Sci., vol. 656, p. 452-71, 1992)
