Abstract :
The paper reviews the development of linear polarized Ku-band spacecraft antenna technology as seen on the EUTELSAT I and II series of telecommunication satellites and the EUTELSAT Hot Bird series of television broadcast satellites. Some aspects of the design of spacecraft antenna coverages for EUTELSATs are reviewed as well as possible directions for future development of telecommunication spacecraft antennas
