Abstract
The input impedance and the radiation pattern or normal mode helical antenna over a finite size ground plane are investigated. The problem is formulated in terms of the surface integral equation based on the piecewise-sinusoidal reaction concept. The current distribution along the helical wire as well as on the ground plane is determined using the method of moments
