Abstract
The design of an optical fiber network with linear embedding and active delimitation electro-optic router (LEADER), based on an array of optical amplifiers is presented. An analytical theory is used with prediction of the spontaneous noise power influence. The power budget allocation in the network can be calculated using the results. The longitudinal dependence of the photon population in the active region of the semiconductor optical amplifier is considered
