Abstract :
A new optical source for generation of pure and high power millimetre-wave signals between 40-60 GHz using a dual mode multisection semiconductor laser is demonstrated. Phase-locked millimetre-waves are generated with extremely narrow linewidth (<10 Hz) and wide locking range (~500 MHz)
