Abstract :
This paper presents the fundamentals of the DVD+ReWritable 4.7 GB (DVD+RW) groove format of the disk. It describes the format detection and addresses the IC implementation of the required circuitry. Simulation and measurement results show the robustness of both the DVD+RW groove format of the disk and of the applied format detection method and circuitry.
