Abstract :
We have developed a dual mode camera system chipset for camcorders which provides high quality image in both movie mode and still mode. The system employs 1.07 Mega pixel CCD, a DSP with a real-time image resolution converter, and a 33 MHz analog front-end processor. With this chipset we achieved over 500 TV-line resolution in the movie mode and an improved interface between still/movie image formats.
