Abstract :
GSM/EDGE GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) is an open, digital cellular technology, widely used for transmitting mobile voice and data services. EDGE is the technology of enhanced data rates for GSM Evolution. In the field of GSM/EDGE base-band SOC, the GMSK/8-PSK modulated signal testing becomes one of the most important issue to verify the performance of base-band transmitter circuit. Modulated signal tests include spectrum compliance test, as well as modulation accuracy test of phase error for GMSK and error vector magnitude (EVM) for 8-PSK.
