Abstract :
Recently, as mobile IPTV has emerged in the area of mobile multimedia streaming, various researches on ensuring service continuity between fixed and wireless networks have been undertaken. VoD transmission in mobile IPTV is a challenging task since it causes long user waiting time and requires a large number of channels. In this paper, we propose an approach appropriately selecting a broadcasting scheme which minimizes the delay when the user receives the VoD service. Computer simulation reveals that the proposed scheme allows smaller waiting time compared to the existing schemes.
