Abstract :
Node localization plays a key role in the applications of WSN(Wireless Sensor Networks), and it is the hot spot of the research of the WSN nowadays. In this paper, a localization algorithm is proposed which is based on a MLE(Maximum Likelihood Estimation) method and a new RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indicator) ranging model. The selection of ranging model, the optimal choice of model parameters and the number of reference points are discussed. The experiment indicates that the error of localization can be controlled in 1 m with the new model.
