Abstract :
This Paper first studies the transmission power and stability limit of AC link system without reactive power compensation, and then studies the transmission power and stability limit of weak HVDC link system without reactive power compensation, as well as the impact of both the changes of AC reactance and the rectifier angle and inverter extinguisher angle on the transmission power and voltage stability. This paper holds that, in a weak back-to-back HVDC system without reactive power compensation, the increase of AC line reactance as well as the increase of the rectifier angle and inverter extinguisher angle will reduce the transmission capability and voltage stability, or even lead to voltage collapse
