Abstract
Aimed at the problem of target tracking in the binary wireless sensor networks, we proposed an adaptive dynamic clustering scheme based on the number of the sensors in cluster for target tracking, in which the active radius of the cluster was adjusted dynamically. Then, we described the whole dynamic clustering process. Besides, we present an improved particle filtering algorithm to estimate the location of the target. The adaptive tracking scheme can both maintain the tracking precision and decrease the computation by reduce the number of particle. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can reduce the energy consumption and prolong the network life while maintain the tracking precision.
