Abstract :
Quality of service for the emerging web services have become an extremely important in this emerging trend. These web services are needed to be adopted in the mobile environment so that it allows access of information whenever and where ever the user needs it. The usability has to be enhanced for the users when the invocation of the web service can be done with ease of use. A successful execution of the web service is dependent on the web application and the kind of the mobile device used to invoke and also the mobile network environment. In this paper we propose information availability metrics to quantify the availability of the web services to be deployed in mobile devices. These metrics helps to evaluate the total availability of the information through the smaller devices like the cell phones. The information availability metrics values retrieved will return the authentic condition of the end-to-end network dependencies, thus contribute to the correctness and precision of the complete Mobile based Web Services quality factors.
