Computer aided maintenance for distribution lines: an expert system approach of failure risk evaluation

The authors describe an expert system based on electrical network failures risk evaluation. This application is directed to give a sorted list of electrical distribution network components to repair or to renew, given a technological and environmental context for each component. After a presentation of the system, the authors detail the risk evaluation carried out by the expert system and compare it to classic reliability approach.
