Abstract :
This paper elucidates the problem of non-uniform traffic in CDMA cellular system. To alleviate the effect of non-uniform traffic, we propose a new CDMA cellular system that the same radio bandwidth is shared among the layers called integrated macrocell/microcell (IMM). The behavior of IMM is illustrated by traffic modeling. From the arriving traffic modeling, it shows that IMM provides a robustness to non-uniform traffic condition
