Abstract :
With the complexity of new products and equipment increasing, assembly and testing manufacturing production line´s environment becomes more and more complicated. Simulation method is one of the most effective ways to analyze and improve task scheduling. Database technology and modeling are the foremost factor in building a simulation system. This paper in detail describes an approach based on object-oriented and multi-threading technology to create simulation database and build the simulation model of the assembly and testing manufacturing (ATM) lines and implement the software by using C.net, which predicts the production capability of the lines, the distribution of WIP (work in process) on the whole line, the performance of each schedule and the regulation of the line when there have malfunctions. A better schedule can be selected to run on the lines after several scheduling tasks are compared. The use of object-oriented and multi-threading techniques make the program more nimble and extensible, so it provides a primary platform for further research in manufacturing.
