Abstract :
Aimed to the heterogeneous data integration needs of the enterprise, this paper presents a heterogeneous data integration model which is based on data plug-ins and ontology language. Facing the problems of describing, extracting, processing and exporting heterogeneous data in the integration process, we have conducted an in-depth research in the combination of ontology language and data plug-in. The combination of ontology language and data plug-in can not only solve the problems but can also guarantee great flexibility and scalability for the system. Based on the model, an enterprise data integration solution is given and a kind of platform based on data plug-ins and Ontology language is implemented. The platform is able to integrate heterogeneous data from either the same DBMS with different databases or from many different DBMSs.
