Abstract :
An enhanced test facility for high-power, radiated susceptibility testing of aircraft has been developed. The facility consists of the Electromagnetic Environment Generating System (EMEGS) and four test areas. The EMEGS was specifically designed for full-scale aircraft radiated susceptibility testing and is the first high-power system to be fully automated under computer control. The automated EMEGS reduces costly test time, increases test accuracy and repeatability, permits efficient testing of many operational modes, and provides full documentation of test parameters and test results. An overview of the EMEGS and its supporting facilities is presented
