Abstract
This article describes the design of an ARM-based control system for LED large screen display. The system uses 32-bit AT91RM9200 ARM microprocessor as the main controller to control the LED display screen refreshing and dynamic displaying. Comparing to traditional microcontroller, this system provides improvement in processing power, system architecture, addressing scope as well as in external interface capacity. The system uses the GPIO interface with AT91RM9200 directly implemented to realize the logical drive of LED display and simplifies the circuit design. Based on embedded Linux operating system, the system software offers improved stability and reliability.
