Abstract :
The optical interconnection plays an important role of realization in massively parallel computation. This is well recognized, but it is not clear how the optical interconnection works in parallel processing. The authors revisit the relationships between optical interconnection and parallel data processing. Their view is originally architecture-oriented, but it will be profitable also for device-oriented research
