Abstract :
By combining the characteristics of digital television (DTV) and passive optical network (PON), this paper proposed a scheme which can transmit the DTV signals through the GPON network. This paper also described the construction of the DTV GPON network and how to estimate and design the optical link. At last, this scheme was proved to match the requirements of DTV transmission very well by experimentation.
