Abstract
The study aimed at the impacts of the different topographic positions on the soil physical and chemical characteristics in karst pinnacle. Soil pH, temperature, electric conductivity, moisture content and CO2 content were measured along two slopes and their mid-depression in Hui Xian Pinnacle. Based on the analysis of the data, the results showed no significant difference of soil pH and soil temperature, but significant difference of soil electric conductivity and soil moisture content in different soil depth of different topographic positions. Relationship changes of soil indices depended on the topography and soil depth. The study may be useful to understand the karst dynamic system composed of C-H2O-Ca, and ecosystem functions in karst pinnacles.
