Abstract :
To detect the harmonic and reactive currents of an active power filter, an equivalent circuit model of three-phase non-linear load is established. Using the model, a new detection approach of harmonic and reactive currents based on the artificial neural networks (ANN) is proposed. In this approach, the non-linear current is decomposed into the fundamental and the harmonic and reactive currents. As the resistance load in the model is approximated by using the ANN, the active component fundamental current, the harmonic and reactive currents are obtained. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the approach proposed.
