Abstract :
In this paper, the application of ground defect PBG structure to cylindrical rectangular microstrip patch antennas is studied. Characteristics of square holes and circle holes etched in cylindrical ground are invested for different size. The results indicate the effectiveness of the PBG structure for suppressing harmonics and surface wave is affected greatly by the hole size
