Abstract :
Summary form only given. The Decade Quad NWE Simulator has been in operation at the Arnold Engineering and Development Center since the fall of 1999. In its large area bremsstrahlung configuration, its four identical modules (Marx, transfer capacitor, coaxial water line and conical MITL) each terminate in plasma opening switch (POS) and X-ray converter diode loads. We report on the continuing efforts to optimize the output of the simulator.
