Abstract
The results of experiments on the two-dimensional (2D) quasi real-time microwave tomographic system are reported. Reconstruction possibilities of this system are demonstrated on the phantoms and the heart, including canine beating heart. The analysis of the quality of 2D images of the physical and mathematical phantoms is reported. The accurate solution of the inverse problem of the scalar Helmholtz equation under the restriction of the gradient of the dielectric properties of the object was achieved by proposed iteration algorithm
