Abstract :
In our study, space charge distributions in XLPE have been measured at AC voltages by modified PEA method. And streamer discharges in air gap have been measured simultaneously in order to investigate the relation between space charge and discharge current. At AC high voltages, discharge is increased to the critical point, but no more increase is shown over critical voltage and discharge pattern is resolved by space charge formation
