Abstract :
The number of distributed generation units connected to the grid is increasing. Their behavior during voltage dips becomes more important. Especially as most units are connected to the grid with power electronic converters. Control methods are described that can be used to keep power electronic converters connected to the grid during voltage dips. Ideal and real measured voltage dips are used to verify the controller behavior. Reduced models are presented that can be used for transients studies of grids with a large number of DG units.
